Introduction
Merry Christmas! I pray that all of us are full of joy and thankfulness in our hearts tonight because of God’s goodness and faithfulness. Indeed, the coming of the Lord Jesus here on earth thousands of years ago will remind us of His unconditional love and will give us security and hope.
The story of the birth of our Lord Jesus will speak to us that during the first Christmas, Joseph and Mary experienced challenges and struggles in life when they obeyed the will of God in their lives. However, the Scriptures are clear that they did not hesitate nor complain, and they just submitted to God’s will. Both of them knew that Jesus is the Son of the living God who will bring hope to all the people.

Life Applications
The Angels” encouraged the shepherds to rejoice and not be afraid because of the fulfillment of God’s promise. The Lord is good and faithful in keeping His promises so let us choose to be grateful and joyful in all circumstances.
“Messiah” and “Christ” are the Hebrew and Greek words, respectively, for “Anointed One.” Jesus is our Messiah, the special Anointed King, and Priest, who brought God’s salvation to His people. Always keep in mind that the true message of Christmas is about Jesus coming down to earth to seek and save the lost.
