Outline

  1. Integrity knows right from wrong (1 Samuel 24:5)

  2. Integrity prioritizes God’s mission over other desires (1 Samuel 24:8-10)

  3. Integrity chooses what is right, even when others don’t (1 Samuel 24:7)

  4. Integrity admits wrongdoing, even if others won’t (1 Samuel 24:6)

  5. Integrity trusts God to do what he promised (1 Samuel 24:12-13)

Life Application:

  1. Sabbath, Bible study, worship, service, and fellowship help us know God, his mission, and practice his ways. We cannot know right from wrong apart from these things.

  2. Choosing what is right and admitting to our failure in the little things helps prepare us to choose what is right and admitting to our failure in the big things. Pay attention throughout the day, where could you practice integrity more?

  3. What promises from God are you still not fully living in?

    • That he loves you?

    • That he desires a relationship with you?

    • That he will never leave your or forsake you?

    • That you don’t have to carry your burdens but can lay them at his feet?

    • That you don’t have to fear the future?

    • That you need to first seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well?
