As we dig deeper into this Psalm, I know that this passage will help us remember, acknowledge, understand, and appreciate God’s sovereignty in all things.

Today, let us reflect on how these characters of the first Christmas showed their happiness and excitement when they met and greeted the Saviour of the whole world.

This Spirit-inspired celebration and praise was founded on a deep belief that God’s long-awaited promises were about to be accomplished, and today we are invited to join that celebration in anticipation of what he is going to do again!

Do you know that there were a lot of things that had happened during the first Christmas that are most of the times being overshadowed by our current traditions in celebrating the season?

As we reflect on Psalm 103 today, may I encourage all of you to think of how the Lord has shown you His love, mercy, protection, provision, and faithfulness throughout the year 2022. 

The story of the birth of Jesus will give us many reasons to praise and adore His great love and sacrifice for all of us.

Joseph and Mary were put in a dilemma that is not easy to navigate but their love and faith in God allowed them to experience His blessings, provisions, and protection upon their lives.

Jesus’ birth drives foreign scholars to leave home seeking the fulfillment of Jewish prophecy, not for the spectacle it was, but to worship and pay homage to the one-born king of the Jews.
